For ALL Shit’Air Stickers, comments, questions and moans

It’s €4 and takes 10 mins. 2 days later you have the receipt if the sticker fails to turn up in time. Jobs easy even for me a 66yr old non tech savvy grey haired old fucktard.

Tried doing it on the smartphone, and the website worked as I expected, rather than like the view of it below, so an easy application eventually.

Got one for the car. It says stick it on RH side of windscreen.
Is that from driver's view or from outside?

Do you really have to find out, if the place you are going to is subject to this stuff?
I only ask, as I am prone to just turning up in a place without thought for this kind of thing and if you do not have a computer or a phone...My phone is only used for calls, I don`t do texts...I do not have a computer with me on travels...So how am I supposed to know about this stuff?

I am exempt through ignorance and being a dinosaur?

Just trying to apply for one of these magic stickers. Will it really clean up the air quality as I drive through the designated area or does the fact that I’ve paid (yet another) tax do that automatically.

Anyway, moving on from the cynicism to the piss boiling…..

When you get to the provide proof part of the application….choose ‘take photo’, do that and oh no, the ‘kin file is to ‘kin big! ‘Kin rejected. So many times this happens. To these people not test the website’s functionality before releasing it for retards like me to use. FFS!

So to save the expense of a new iPad due to them having a tendency to break when thrown I’ve passed it over to the other half.
If she can’t do it well either chance it, after all, the fine is cheaper than a new Apple product or just bypass the whole ‘kin country, it’s a shithole anyway!!

Hang on, we’re going to Spain and the ferry company that takes you there is ‘kin French. BASTARDS!! They still get you.

literally just applied for one

while its a faff

as long as you compress the photo of your v5

itll go through no problem

DGAF if the sticker doesnt turn up ive a receipt and the ministery paper that says its applied for theyll just be left in windscreen

I’ve got a Crit Air sticker on one car as it was pretty easy to get, but what’s it’s actually for?

Are there some cars you can’t get it for, and is it needed for bikes?

yes and yes (and some bikes can't get one so not allowed in some city centres)

It proves that the vehicle is ‘allowed’ into the city / town’s area and (just as importantly) that you have paid the ‘tax’ ie. the nominal cost of the sticker, to enter.

The stickers are so cheap and easy to obtain, it’s hardly worth moaning (as we sometimes hear) about.

If you have a polluting vehicle the signs will say if you're allowed to pass through a city, or have to drive round.
IE Crit Air 5 with a line through it means anything 5 or worse is not allowed.
Seen this on Autoroute signs near Bordeaux

No, it was about a fiver, and it was a very efficient process. Pointless, but at least it’s cheap and lasts the life of the vehicle.

I’ll need more of them, though. Where do you put them on a bike?
