garmin 176

is the garmin 176 a good unit for day to day navigation i see from and earlier thread that you use one paul g i'm just a bit concerned to its practicality for uploading street maps/road maps i'm not really bothered about voice promp or direction indication
any advise welcome and what sort of price should i be paying

I'm well impressed with my 176, I to was not bothered about the turn left here.. right there features of a GPS.
My main priority was one that had expandable memory, a good size screen, and, fast screen re-draw. The 176 seems to do all this and has proved to be an excellent choice..... for me at least.
For new kit it will cost you around £550, that includes a 64meg memory card and and the handle bar mount.
If you want to see one I'm only up the road from you :)

paul thanks for the offer re your 176 i'll take you up on the offer very soon
i was bidding on one on e bay but the auction has closed early can you recommend a good outlet for this model
