Garmin 2610

Hi all

This is my first post, I ve just got the Garmin 2610 GPS unit for my car and bike from

I have managed to successfully upload to the unit the speed camera overlay and also add extra poi (WW2 sites in France etc, planned a trip in May 2007) thanks to this forum

What I wanted to know is there any more improvements I can make? And does anyone know if there is a firmware update or changes to alter the USA style Intersection & Highway icons to English junction & Motorway

I think your stuck with the Americanisms

If you download the garmin updater from here..... http://www.garmin.com/products/webupdater/howtoinstall.jsp

Plug the GPS into your PC and run the software and it will check for up-dates

I have already tried all the latest updates; I thought there might be a specific firmware update for England. Never mind I suppose I will get used to it

I've downloaded the Ozzie voice and now my girl's called Kylie!
It's worth it for the pronunciation of such delights as the French "Supermarche" and "Avenue General LeClerc" (Every French town seems to have one). Makes being on holiday in France twice as much fun!

Press menu-options and scroll through to Language, select english, British English
