Looks very much like a PTC (positive temperature coefficient) fuse to me. When the current through these exceeds their rated value, the temperature rises and they become open circuit (very high resistance), when the current is reduced they cool down and start conducting again. I'll look up the rating if I get a few moments tomorrow.

Just had a quick look at a supplier I know - could be one of these, but if not the exact one at least it gives you the idea.
