They run just fine on my Quest using City Select Europe v.7. Just save the files to your computer and then open them from Mapsource.

Easy peasy :thumb

Hi Whatton, great thread btw, but I'm looking at the Ireland Campsites and the Camac Valley site near Dublin centre is a fair bit away on your GDB file. It has it smack bang in the middle of Newlands Golf Club

If you look at this arial photo it should be next to the figure of eight roundabout.

I'd say it should be here. Just next to Corkagh Park :thumb

someone recently gave me an 'Ov2' file (Tom Tom?) with all the BT exchanges (for work) but it doesn't work on my Quest.

Is there any way of changing the file so that it will??

cheers

How's about

Top job Whatton! Brilliant stuff.

Any chance of changing Mouse's ford database into Waypoints?

I cant open them...

when i click down load it says 'the file can not be read because it uses sudsequent file version. This program canread MPS files as well as GDB files version 1.0 and below'
Whats all that about then?

Can anyone help?

You probably need to load a later version of Mapsource onto your PC. Here will get you started:

Thank you
I'm running V7 that should be ok shouldnt it?

No.

V7 is the versions of the maps. I'm guessing it's City Select Europe V7?

Mapsource 6.10.2 is the program on your PC that allows you to interface with it!

V7 will be on your GPS and PC. 6.10.2 is only on the PC, AFAIK.

E-mail it to me at whatton ( @ ) gmail.com (taking the spaces and brackets out) and I'll convert it to a Garmin .gbd file for use with your Quest.

Hey, who cares, you're going to be way off route on a few of these by the looks of it anyway :D Found another couple of right crackers that would have me cursing ever uploading them to the GPS

Thanks Whatton, but I think I'll stick to my own navigation until this 'secret' method of conversion you have gets it bang on. I simply cant be festered getting lost or checking every one of them when the few I have checked are way off, soz but I hate golf and swimming, lol :)
