Like everybody else else - just returned from our 3000+ mile 2 weeker

The Good

Garmisch
The company of other GS'ers
The sunny days
The roads and passes
Touratech factory
The food (must diet now)
Hotel Cristallo and the Italian Dolomites
Beating the GPS users with local knowledge and maps (I'll concede a dead heat with Judge on the Stelvio rideout)
Meeting a Dakar racer, who owned the hotel on the last night
The bends
The bike, which went like a dream
McFlurry turning into a 'riding god' on the last day to just catch the Zeebrugge ferry
Riding with Andy Malton again and not being too far behind his Super moto, in the Dolomites
Some of the Italian ladeees

The Bad

The crashes (luckily everybody involved were ok)
My very close shave (with spilt diesel, a T junction, a trunk road and black Merc estate)
The Rain
Long motorway stints, on last 2 days
Disappointment with the Stella (after hearing about it for last 15 yrs), I thought it was of a let down
A wobbly front Tourance
A very dirty GSA (which needs some TLC)
Watching some of the GPS pilots.............getting completely and utterly lost!!

The Ugly

Uncle Albert after a night out @ Garmisch Biker Party and waking me up @ 4am, to be let in (hope you're fully recovered)

Mrs Bumble

Great to meet some of you and get to know you all better, the group really gelled.

Here's some of my fav pics.........

All you need in life................a top bike and scenery like this!
On the Stifeljoch Pass in Italy

Another on the Stifeljoch...............sheer perfection - sun, scenery and a GSA

The view from the top of the Stifeljoch.............it's some pass

Top of the Valparola Pass in Italian Dolomites, one of my all time favourite passes

Fresh snow on the Pordoi Pass, in the Dolomites, as we left for Switzerland

That was 2005, we're going back to Garmisch again, this Tues - 6 years on, different riders and a week on my own in the Dolomites/Austria and Black Forest......................a bit excited:bounce1..................you bet

I wonder if Mrs Bumble has shaved her moustache since 2005? :D

I forgot how good this trip was, nice to re-read
