I've just bought new boots and I'm now struggling to make up-changes.

Just tried to adjust the gear lever position on the threaded rod adjuster but can't get the locknuts undone - I've put as much pressure on the locknuts as I'm happy to with an open ended spanner.

Left hand threads???

I'd be grateful for help/advice.

Thanks for your reply - Yes i'm holding the centre 8mm one, do you know which is LH thread, top or bottom?

Nearest the gear lever is lh thread unless someone has swapped it round on yours

Thanks, I'll go through my collection of 10mm open end spanners, find the best fitting and give it another try.

Done, once I'd found out one was lefthand thread they weren't even tight (thanks to AutoGS) - top one of the two was LH thread.
