Very nice rich, just needs a bit of bling and a tinted screen.

I'm looking at a tinted screen for mine ,are you going for the BMW one ? or after market

I've ordered the BMW small screen for the regular GS. Best of both worlds.:thumb

Glad to see that I'm not the only person spunking all my money on the latest bikes from BMW. :thumb :D

So you have gone from a fast lithe water cooled GS to a heavy slow cumbersome GS......................... And paid probably in excess of £5K for the pleasure.

I toyed with the idea myself not long ago, but the 2014 GS is the one to have from what I have read..................... All 2015 GS's are slower.

I don't get it...................... ?

But hey, if we were all the same.................... Hope you enjoy your new steed.

That garage needs sorting Rich!

But as you're moving we'll let you off this time!

Will expect better though the next time you put up an "indoor picture" of Godzilla ;)

Muchos nice mon ami; I was chatting to the staff @ Coopers yesterday and they said they would do me a great deal.......

As much free coffee as I could drink whilst I was there......:P

Well, that was a good day. Although in running it in (ish :green gri), I can't notice that much difference in the handling or acceleration between this, and the GS.

The keyless ride, which seems like a gimmick, is something that you soon become used to. No more fumbling for keys/ removing gloves when stopping. Just walk up to the bike, hit the button and off you go. There is talk in the manual about central locking, so I'd expect to see panniers also locking/ unlocking via the same system, once BMW eventually sort out their lock shortage problem. BMW has built in some contingency should it fail, so for the time being, I'm pleased with it.

The gear shift assist seems to be smoother than on the bikes with it fit at the dealer. Confusion over software enabling codes at some dealers is obviously affecting the operation of it. Downshifts were smoother without the clutch and you don't have to put as much pressure on the gear lever as on my last bike. Only once did I have a bad gear change between third and fourth, but that was my fault, as I rolled off slightly, and you need an open throttle for it to operate correctly.

I'm looking forward to getting some miles on the bike, and you never know, I might hang on to this one for more than five minutes!:P

Is that a dehumidifier in the background? If so does it keep the garage and contents dry and no musty smells?
