Nice one! Ive got exactly the same bike and i love it! I thought being a shortarse i might have trouble but it really isnt an issue, enjoy!!:beerjug:

Nice !!

Just like mine in fact (although I didn't get the boxes or GPS) that I picked up from Coopers last Friday - just one question - where can I find a cooler cover like yours ?

Looks very much like a front panel from a 1200RT? WITH A GRILLE?

Nice wheels....

..but how tall are you? you seem to have both heels on the ground:nenau

I'm a tad over 5' 10" and rode one last week without a problem. Your weight is also a factor:augie

I agree with Sheady, i might be only 5'9, but i am a fat bastid! I did struggle at first, mostly through intimidation, but now its just like "whats the problem"?

Steve.

Same as mine even down to the Wunderlich oil cooler grille :thumb

I've got 2500 miles on mine since July and haven't really been anywhere:nenau its just that easy to ride I find myself taking it on journeys I would of normally used my car for

Enjoy :clap

happy

+2 For South London Motorcycles......and Tony.

Really good chaps down there and really know their stuff. Was very pleased with the after sales service along with the sales service. Very happy with my deal and have covered 6000 miles in just five months with a trip to normandy and a trip to The black forest in Germany....... No fualts. Thats pretty good mileage considering my ride to work is only ten miles.

The service costs are also very reasonable and you get a price before taking the bike in

1st service. hundred quid
2nd service two hundred on the nose.

Shed loads of extras including Many Touratech bits, hugger, luggage etc
zumo550
autocom kit 300

I have been converted to being a tosser and am very proud to be. These bikes are truly astonishing and i happily trade my Busa and k6 Gixer thoudsand in again any day for this peice of engineered freedom.

Also mate at work came on the back on a trip to normandy and loved it so much he also bought a 1200gsa 08 from SLM and is really chuffed too.

In total at work we now have about 10 gs'. ..........

Nothing better than word-of-mouth , in getting recommendations.

I just returned from a trip to France with the wife, the GSA had sprung a petrol leak on the way there. Took it in today at SLM, fixed no issues, ( cracked o-ring).
Whilst there got a chance to look at Charlie Bormans' 3 bikes he used of the long way round / down and dakar, pretty impressive with all the add-ons.

Yep i do mean that !!!!

The Busa was god fun but Lardy round the track and on the back wheel. The Gixer thou was probably the better of the two. i have a biased opinion being 6'5" though...... Busa peg to bum distance very small so as to keep you in the bubble. Gixer was a great bike but was so mint i never took it anywhere for fear of it being nicked or getting wet and mucky.

The other thing is that the BMW's finish is so good that even if it gets covered in Crud and muck you simply get it off and with a little spongeing and a jet was it is mint with that BMW sparkle again.

My best mate owns a Suzuki shop / workshop which i help out in. so believe me i know my suzi's.

Don't fear though i still have a seriously played with DRZ Motard/ enduro tool so smiles a plenty.

I would never have got to the black forest in 11 hrs from london on a gixer or busa simply coz of the seating position. Also although my busa was good on the clock for 206mph (Few Mods) i'd put a new rear tyre on it every 1800 miles and it would do 100 miles to a tank and less if i was nearing the above figure. Don't get me wrong they are both awesome bikes and i'd have a gixer thou again as my third bike if the piggy bank had a few more tokens in it.

Also sports bikes dont do a weeks worth of clothes and camping equipment.
