Grip Pups

Having done a tried and tested search on the subject and then spending three weeks reading all about them I have done it and ordered my Pups.
from the posts I am expecting the following improvements to my ride - please let me know if I have left anything out:

• improved ride position - less cramp
• greater fuel economy allowing me to go from 2-300 miles to 5-600 miles before the need to re-fuel
• smoother ride - less vibration
• longer tyre life
• less chance of premature FD failure
• no more requirement for chain lube
• longer life for the FPC (black enamelled type)
• better braking response
• less vibration through the footpegs
• did I say improved fuel consumption?
• 10-hour riding days with no back or bum ache
• can anyone tell me if they will improve the spray on the back of my legs?
• improved turn-in
• no more corrosion on FD

You definitely forgot to mention that Grip Puppies also eliminate that annoying dip in power curve between 3000 to 4000 rpm and significantly reduce buffeting at motorway speeds.

After reading the benefits you have all reported on the puppies I rushed out an bought a pair of 9 week old minature dachsunds (black and tan).

The fit is absolutely fantastic but I find the rear legs can jam against the brake leaver when at full throttle. This does have an alarming effect when taking part in the traffic light grand prix. Do you recommend leg removal to cure this unfortunate side effect and on average how long do you keep them on before the smell is too great and replacement is your only option.

Gently peel them off and put them back on the other way round - YOU FOOL. Surely everyone knows which way round they go

Having now fitted the pups and done a test ride I can report the following against my original list of expectations:

Value for money? They are probably worth the £7.50 that they would cost in the States. Are they worth the £15 in Rip-off Britain? Not in my view. Would I buy again - No. Will I keep them on - Jury's out on that. I'll wait another 500 miles.

joking aside they do work.
i have really bad hands and riding my 1200 was a nightmare, until i fitted grip puppy's.
I also have an 1150 and never needed them.
£15, priceless to me but £7.50 would of been better

The 'O' rings option is probably cheaper, easily obtainable and definitely effective!
