Both are more than capable of crossing Europe in three days, a month or a year.
Both can carry reasonably quantities of luggage and a pillion, without effort.
Both are capable of wearing the latest 'must have' tyres (see threads).
Both will support GPS, heated grips, muffs and assorted electrical trickery, cameras or whatever.
Both will accept a battery tender.
Both can get a puncture.
Both will get wet when it lashes with rain, or get hot when it crosses 30C on the mercury.
Neither have a toolkit worth a light.
