How do I convince my mate to go for the GS? He's on a Blackbird at the moment and likes the GS but the VFR has a more 'familiar' feeling I think...he's had the GS for the weekend and goes for a test ride on the VFR tomorrow....help!

I would'nt worry,he will definately buy the VFR ,far far better bike, better engine, build quality, riding position etc.
No point trying to convert him![]()

Bland, thirsty with a poor tank range i heard.![]()

Ahhh, nothing like hearsay to help make a judgement.....![]()
I've never heard the VFR1200 described as bland - only the tank range has been criticised. V4 engines are wonderful creations![]()
I dont think the last two bits are![]()
Its bland to look at. The last vfr was A let down and that had a v4(owned one)
I agree about the VTEC - I only kept mine four months - but the original 800 has a lovely engine and I'm sure the 1200 would be great too. I love the styling on the white or grey versions too. Only the red doesn't work for me.
To be honest i agree the original 800 was a peach,
