GS without ESA - better?

.....to be fair I have been riding all winter and I have considered that it may just be the tyres that are crap in the wet. A few times the rear has misbehaved with no particular attempt to encourage such behaviour.
As for giving up on things to easily....ermmm playing professional sport and racing at National level. I don't think so :bash:upyou:thumb

Now AberdeenAngus has pointed out that the Electronic suspension didn't cost as much as we thought .... There could be an argument that it's worth the sum we paid. It's just a pity it doesn't really have a marked difference between the settings .

That's odd there is a big difference in the settings on my LC in both ride height (preload) and damping when going from 1up to 2up with luggage and the three damping settings of soft, normal and hard.

I think you best get yours checked out. everyone else with ESA has commented that the differences between soft, medium & hard are quite noticeable.

Could be tyres, or it could be that you're an old woman!:pullface:D

I have a 2015 GS having moved from a 2014 GS. The ESA is noticeable on the preload as it changes but the HARD, NORMAL SOFT, setting less so. I also find in SOFT mode that I feel every bump and discrepancy in/on the road.
I spoke to the local BM dealer who tell me the 2014 model had problems with the seals blowing so increased stiffness on the 2015 model.

Is this why some of us are getting different results?

They have said pop it in and they will have a look at it but I suspect it's working to how it should. I do wonder however, when you read reports of Aprilla's ADD suspension and the carpet ride it gives whether the ESA is just not as compliant to changes. :nenau
