I did not want to start a new topic on this issue but here it goes.
About 2 weeks ago, one of my fog lamps stoped working. I wanted to test and see if it was the bulb burnt or something in the harness.
So what I did was to try to put the fog wires to the front signal bulb. That and then I tryed to put the wires from the fog to the relay and signal bulb.
I konw, stupid thing I did. Anyway, I have managed to burn my signaling relay and I had a 3k km's trip in 2 days from then.
I took off the relay, opened it and then saw that one transistor was burnt. There are 2 of these on the PCB. The L/H side flashing worked OK, the R/H one did not. So I assumed that there was the fault.
I googled the datasheet for the transistor and bought all 6 of them available at the parts store.
It requiered some fiddling while soldering but in the end, it all went just fine...
So my point here is that these relays are pretty reliable unless the intervention of the rider

And it can be repaired.
