Mine are knackered. BMW ones are available at £67 each as opposed to Keis universal 12v heated grip set from Motorworks at £49 for the whole kit- that's for all the wiring and the controller. Any thoughts?

If it's a late model there is every chance that the Can bus wont play with not genuine grips

I don't think John's Canbus is applicable :)

The 1980's was a simpler time.

I had the keis ones on a bike last year. They arrived next day from Motorworks, were easy to fit, comfy, well made and as warm as OE R1200GS ones.

The only (very minor) downside was that they seemed very slightly narrower across the main parallel section than some, which was only noticeable as I have unusually wide palms (and no, they are not hairy!:D).

Ebay roxter or roxtor grips. Made by Oxford with different branding and sometimes arrive with an Oxford branded controller.
£29 delivered.

Daytona heated grips are very good - see ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/daytona-heated-grips

I have the ones with a 2 way rotary controller but there seem to be a newer version available with a 4 way setting. Mine have Hein Gericke branding but the packaging said Daytona and they were made in Japan.

I fited or beter to say my brother fitted some cheep and cheerful ones from heingerich on my HP2 witch has a cambus system so he just added a relay and they work fine 7 years now
