Mine are knackered. BMW ones are available at £67 each as opposed to Keis universal 12v heated grip set from Motorworks at £49 for the whole kit- that's for all the wiring and the controller. Any thoughts?
I have a set fitted to my R80Rt, under the non heated grips and they are toasty, I figure you could fit them to the origonal heated grip switch, as it seems to work the same, or using the supplied switch, I have that fitted with the waterproof cover, but it makes switching awkward
I had the keis ones on a bike last year. They arrived next day from Motorworks, were easy to fit, comfy, well made and as warm as OE R1200GS ones.
The only (very minor) downside was that they seemed very slightly narrower across the main parallel section than some, which was only noticeable as I have unusually wide palms (and no, they are not hairy!).
I have the ones with a 2 way rotary controller but there seem to be a newer version available with a 4 way setting. Mine have Hein Gericke branding but the packaging said Daytona and they were made in Japan.
I fited or beter to say my brother fitted some cheep and cheerful ones from heingerich on my HP2 witch has a cambus system so he just added a relay and they work fine 7 years now
