Helmet Question

...Tried on a SHOEI Multitec and it was just a little bit too big for my liking.

The dealer suggested replacing the standard check pads with thicker/fatter cheek pads....

...I'm not convinced and he didnt offer to fit them so I couldnt try before I buy?

Anyone any experience of fitting thicker cheek pads and if so does it make much of a difference....

I have an Arai RX7.......a few years old now. It fitted great when new but over the years it became a tad loose. I bought thicker pads when I bought the helmet.......I don't know why I did, but recently have fitted the thicker pads and the fit is now like it was when new.
I really should buy a new helmet as it's well over 4 years old but it is such a good fit now and still in great nick (I've never dropped it) I think I'll leave the new purchase a lil while longer.

...re-tried the SHOEI today and its def too big...not going to bother with the thicker pads...think I will stick with ARAI.

...Picked up my new Arai today...Banda GT Viper...

....nice snug fit and suprising quiet (which I wasnt expecting), well quieter than my old Quantum F....
