I bought a Lumix FX33 a couple of years back and have been very impressed. Screen can be seen in bright conditions (wife's Olympus is crap here), zoom is good, menu system is straight forward and, most important, the images are very good indeed. Almost never used my Nikon DSLR since.
Last autumn went walking in Cumbria for a week. Camera in bag on rucksack belt and did not notice it was in a puddle when taking sack off. Wet camera worked perfectly but some funny colours on viewing screen so a month later bought a Lumix TZ6 based on some superb write ups and my FX33 experience.
The TZ6 is even better. Does everything the FX33 did but with much bigger optical zoom, higher res pics and a usable video mode. Downside is a bigger body but works with my big mitts and still fits in pocket.
Incidentally, after a couple of months the FX33 screen dried out so it did not suffer at all from it's night in a dirty puddle.
