Once more we're asking our adventurous brothers for their good advice. Sue's front forks on her 2000 model 1150GS is eating fork seals, also there is wear on the chrome at the top of both forks near the seals although they don't appear to be bent. If I turn them around 180 degrees, will it fix the problem? Do I need to change them? Where's the most economical place to souce them?
We love riding our bikes, but what a huge shame they don't self repair
Thanks very much:thumb2

There is a teflon lined bush at the top of the forl leg that wears. This allows the stantion to wobble thus the leak.If you are through the teflon it's metal to metal..hence the scoring. I did a pals R850rR model recently simple and cheap if fiddly job. I bought the bush from a MBW dealer. The fork leg also has plastic tubes in it 'pipe' on the fiche. I believe the 1150 is a very similar repair...
