Himalayan 450 Farkle Fest

The irony of it - to think @Doc was roundly criticized for farkling his new mighty Challenger steed, which was deemed inappropriate until ridden & evaluated.

OK, the price point is different here but, nevertheless, let's hope RE can deliver the 450s shortly, before farkle excitement turns into a simple storage a problem.

Just joshing - these look like an excellent deal. I must get along to CooperB at the Piggery & take a look.

The difference is I’ve tested ridden the 450 before ordering.
And the total of my bike plus ALL farkles will cost less than what the Slawit Slacker spent on farkles for his new toy.

In other news, Doc has already admitted the Challenger is better than his RKS.

Arsey, avoid Royal Spares, I had a large order in and paid for with them.....didn't get parts or my money back, months of trying and eventually my bank refunded me and chased them.

Will do. I did see some bad feedback so haven’t used them .

Raju can get you all that stuff, he sent me about 40 photos of what 450 stuff he is sending this week to UK buyers

I messaged him and he quoted about £205 for belly pan and bar combo but I can get same one for £156( it deducts Vat) from here

In 1985 I bought a carpet in Jaipur. That took about 7 months to arrive. I am sure things have improved 😂

I ordered something from the UK’s much vaunted Ordnance Survey, which never arrived. Good at maps they might be but ‘service’ of any kind (up to and including answering the telephone or replying to emails) is zero. A negative review on social media did though spark an instant response, to say “We have been very busy”.

I also have an outstanding order for one simple bag, shown as ‘In stock’ from Motobins. I had to chase them up after two weeks, as I’d heard nothing….. “Sorry, it hasn’t arrived from Germany yet”.

One part from India? Two days, door-to-door, delivered well ahead of the estimated time given.

All my bits have been dispatched from India, including the belly pan/bars I ordered this morning.

The rad guard is being sent to where I’m staying in UK as they couldn’t recognise my Guernsey postcode for some reason, even though there was no issues with the other orders.
I’m here another week so will be interesting to see if it arrives that quick.

BarkBusters ordered from those lovely people at Adventure Bike Shop.

BHG-119 is the code for the 450 then add the plastic guards separately. I went for the Storm in black

Only £38 delivered . If they’re shit I’ll get Barkbusters when they’re available but it’s highly likely I’m now taking the bike to the Picos for off-roading in September so need some protection
