A good friend of mine is selling his bikes due to ill health..A BMW 1150 GS is in the adjacent FS section, and here is his Blackbird that he has owned from new..Not ridden for about 2 years.

Consequently there was a brake issue, which fortunately wasn’t a big problem, dragging disc’s due to sitting idle; the bike was removed to our local bike shop, the callipers and pistons removed, serviced and lubricated, and given a fresh new MOT so good to go..

I don’t know a lot about Blackbirds, but this is a beauty..

He is looking for £3,500 ono.

Lovely Bucephalus. The dragging disc will be due to the secondary master cylinder located on the left hand fork just above the brake caliper being seized. It needs taking off and cleaning out. The little oil hole/gauze will be blocked with shit and possibly the piston may have also seized. It's a well known issue and easily fixed.
Or just get a decent second hand one. I know a few people that would have spare ones if you wanted

It's the fuel injection one and an early one at that with analogue clocks and the smoothest of them all IMHO.

Info bump..I’ve found a box containing an old alternator and regulator rectifier, I’m informed that is because they were replaced about two years ago, also a box with brand new fork springs, apparently an upgrade that was never fitted..
