Horn problems

My first post to the forum. Bought my 04 R1200GS a few weeks ago (upgraded from the R1150RT) and I love it so far.

Until yesterday...

Some idiot carved me up on the M25 and, to register my displeasure, I sounded the horn. What an embarrassment! It sounded like somebody strangling a mouse.

A very small mouse.

More of an "eek" than anything threatening. Do I have a wiring problem? Grounding problem?

If you are travelling at speed, all standard fit horns sound crap

You need to fit a Stebel Magnum or Nautilus horn.

(The Nautilus is the loudest but requires an additional relay to operate)

Do a search for Magnum or Nautilus on this site - lots of info

First of all,welcome to the site fella.
I take it you are not the same AlanB who was reigistered some months ago and who decided to buy a Tiger 1050?.
I think the general opinion of std horns is that they are comparable to a sparrows fart and they get replaced by something like a Steleb Nautilus (best do a search).
