Started bike this morning, as I pressed starter heard a short beep from the horn. 65 mile commute to work, no problems, 65 mile commute home in the pissin rain, no problems until stopped at lights half mile from home, turned on right indicator, intermittent beeping from horn. Stopped when I pressed horn button.
Pulled into drive, continuous horn.
Turned off ignition to stop horn, turned back on, no horn.
Wiggled wires into horn, on it came again, continuous, turned off ignition.
Sprayed everything with WD40, turned on ignition, continuous horn.
Disconnected plug from horn, closed garage door, had tea.
Any ideas?
Suspect short somewhere, where should I look first? I've got a multi meter but hampered by a third thumb when it comes to electrickery.
Oh, it's a 2000 1150GS, non ABS, 79,000 miles (rather dirty I'm afraid)
Cheers Jim
