Does anyone here have any inside information on whether BM plan to launch an official road going version of this?

Yes. You will soon be able to buy official BMW SuperMotard wheels for it (from March on, I'm told). But it will be MUCH cheaper to buy the hubs and send them to Talon to put some Excel rims on them. They will do it for about £500 the pair.

Also Touratech have produced a small screen for it and so will Wunderlich, I personally think it desperately needs a screen to protect you from wind blast.

Having now ridden the bike in the dark, I have been pleasantly surprised on how effective the single headlight is.

You mean something like this. :)
1200 GS wheels will fit right on. I would like try the ST 1200 320 mm front disc.

Do you know where the screen for the HP2 came from?

I looked on the website BMW MC Klubben and there seem to be two variants of the screen. I have seen the Touratech screen but it doesn't seem to be the same as the ones on the Klubben website.

It is my bike you see on the above picture. The screen come from Louis in Germany. It is a standard screen that fits with very little work. I have painted mine, the other one has been cut off 50 mm but it is the same screen.

Wow, I want one. Is there a website, if so do you know the URL for it?

Roy.

Yeh, I found that website but if I type in "Schirm HP2" in the search box all I get is pictures of helmets :(
How about... Die kleine, sportliche Cockpit-Scheibe mit verblüffendem Windschutz.

You'd probably get something very similar from Hein Gericke.

I bought the black screen art.nr: 10006509
It is perfect and at very low cost. :) and it takes the hole windpressure of your chest. Normal crousing speed goes up 10-20 mph.
