My dad (god bless him) was the tightest bugger you could ever meet, it wasn’t that he didn’t have the cash, he would just do anything not to spend it.

I remember a time when they moved house and of course he had taken the wooden curtain poles from the house they had just sold, the main window in the new house was wider than the previous house so the curtain poles were not long enough, so instead of buying new poles with fittings he went out to the local builders merchants and purchased 2 broom handles, cut them to size, rubbed them down and used a bit of wood colour on them …… they didn’t really match the fittings but hey ho 😂

So after looking at various options for something I want to do to the GSA I thought I’d have a go at making something…..🙈……this is the result so far …… I know it’s not high tech engineering and it’s just a bit of fabrication and bending a piece of old steel from a set square ruler 😁 …. But we shall see 🤞🏻

Looks good to me. 👍Cheap, effective and satisfying for you.

That looks neat and tidy… What’s it for?

I’ve made longer/shorter dog bones for my trail bike from bits of flat bar I had lying around, and a crudcatcher from some aluminium sheet left from another project. I salute anyone who has a go at making whatever it is they need for a specific purpose.

Haha I did exactly the same, instead of buying some new c-bow luggage brackets for my ducati i used the ones off my griso and fabricated(errr bodged) new fitments

Still going great after 3 euro trips

The term “fabricated” can mean so many different things to so many different people. :D

Yessss, it is something the BBC are very good at.
The irony is the king of fake news is suing them for fabrication... The mad new world...
I was thinking it was a bracket for aux lights not bought as they're too expensive...🙄

It made me chuckle when someone highlighted how, for a defamation case, the plaintiff needed to demonstrate how the statement has lowered the claimant in the estimation of right thinking members of society generally, and that it caused them harm. If tested, I suspect that it’s highly likely neither would be found true… It’s harder to get any lower level of estimation than the level Trump is held by most people here and it has caused no more harm than his own verbal diarrhoea 🤣

The genuinely scary thing is that in the US, in virtually every street, you'll be able to find more than one person who would agree that he'd been defamed.

Yes it’s a coat hook for when I park up 😂

It’s my go at a sat nav bracket, not sure if it will vibrate too much yet until I take it out on the road …. We shall see 🤔

I need to get out soon as a bit concerned with the mileage on the trip 🙈 😬

That looks great.

Vibration will be as much about the length of the RAM arm you use, as it is about the security of that base. I have an old Migsel mount there and I either had it reachable but bouncy or I had it secure but unreachable. I’ve since moved to a Chigee (thanks Fluffmeister) on the handlebars and that mirrors the phone so now there’s no need to mount the phone.
