My dad (god bless him) was the tightest bugger you could ever meet, it wasn’t that he didn’t have the cash, he would just do anything not to spend it.
I remember a time when they moved house and of course he had taken the wooden curtain poles from the house they had just sold, the main window in the new house was wider than the previous house so the curtain poles were not long enough, so instead of buying new poles with fittings he went out to the local builders merchants and purchased 2 broom handles, cut them to size, rubbed them down and used a bit of wood colour on them …… they didn’t really match the fittings but hey ho
So after looking at various options for something I want to do to the GSA I thought I’d have a go at making something…..
……this is the result so far …… I know it’s not high tech engineering and it’s just a bit of fabrication and bending a piece of old steel from a set square ruler
…. But we shall see
