ITS HERE S1000XR

I wasn't keen on the looks of this at first but seeing it in that video I think it'll be my next bike!
That cornering abs looks good for when cones get thrown at you too.

At least bits won't start falling off it, and bolts working their way loose!
I'd rather spend 5 mins with a spanner than have my bike being resprayed because BMW were too arrogant to do it properly in the first place! 👆😀

I've not had any corrosion on 3 LC GS's, all ridden through the winter.:rob:beerjug::D

Nipping out for 30 minutes on a sunny Sunday to meet your bouncer boyfriend for a burger and then spend 3 hours polishing your toy hardly counts as representing the masses, some of whom own a bike so long that it has to undergo a mystical ritual called an M O T!! Google it, Dr Evil 😘

Pah!:P

tomorrow in Barcelona, BMW is showing off XR to the press. I found good video of XR riding in Pyrenees I think...enjoy

I've been out on the new Ducati Multistrada all afternoon and covered around 170 miles on my favourite roads of all classes in mid and South Wales, the 1000 XR has got its work cut out to beat the Duc it's a hell of a piece of kit :bow

This bike is so gonna kick Cato's arse!:JB

Yeah, right

and official video from BMW Motorrad UK

Started in Barcelona, then the roads around Montserrat and then picked the lass up from Castallet (just inland from Sitges) - spooky watching that as those are the three places that the various strands of my Spanish ancestry come from (the roads around Castallet are phenomenal bike roads!).............

You getting one, Steve?

Once the XR is launched, and I can get my hands on a demo for an afternoon, I'll do a back to back comparison with the new Multi. As nice as it is to have two road bikes, there's a little voice telling me to have one bike to do it all. But it'll need a chain lubey doodah!:P

If I go down this route, that'll be when I'll consider getting one of those KTM thingamebobs for a bit of off-roading, as their road bikes are terrible.:JB:D

If you mean serious off-roading, as opposed to just green-laning, I've got a nice KTM EXC200 that could be yours for a very reasonable sum, sitting in my garage. :augie
