Yep, I agree with the OP. I got round it by doing a HUUUGE nostagia purchase. 1st piccy shows me as a yoof (and no, its not Tom Cruise

) on a 1983 Kwak GPZ1100A1
2nd image is what I purchased (name ya price fella, life is too short, don`t regret the things you do in life, regret the things you DON`T do in life..............) from a chap in Plymouth just a few months ago.
Startling facts, to take into consideration if this is any ones solution be it an older bike:
1. Fekk me, how heavy is it? - Your strength deteriorates with age (personally this has been combined with rampaging osteoarthritis

) so think about this.
2. It handles like a sofa - remember the bikes nowadays are amazing in their capabilities and far exceed ours (or at least mine) and the ones we tooled about on where awful, but at the time brill of course

.
3. BIGGIE THIS ONE - brakes will not work!!!!!!!!!!! (or no where near what we are used to).
4. Where`s the pegs gone?????? - when I first rode the GPZ a few months ago I actually looked to see if someone had knicked the pegs coz I couldn`t find them. Actually I just couldn`t get my legs up high enough.
5. Touring, mmmmmmm - I used to go to wales and back and think `wow` ready for a beer - I went to Barton Bike night recently and thought `wow, I`m ready for A&E

bugger, it was painful.
I think my GPZ is wonderful, weapons grade eye candy (its as clean as Nutz bike) I love it to bits but don`t get rose colored glasses - things change, mostly we do!
