Unable to locate the playlist on iTunes where you place those tracks that you wish to download to the iPod when next plugged in?

I've not deleted it.

Where will I find it?

Will I need to reinstall iTunes?

Thanks in advance & Happy Xmas to all.

Steve

if the playlist is not showing that you have created for your ipod then you have probably deleted it.

Do you change your music often? If you don't, then forget a playlist and just drag the music to the ipod in itunes

Have you created one?

I have one just named 'latest'

create one similar, then tunes drag to this.

Then click on my ipod, and select this from the list at the bottom to load.

I also have one named 'burn' which I drag to when making a CD

Don't change the music that often.

Used to have a playlist that seemed to automatically download to the iPod but is no longer there - probably deleted?

How do I drag the tracks to the iPod in iTunes?

find the track or album you want, left click on it and keep the button down,

move the cursor over the I-Pod (or playlist) you want to place it in and let go.

The destination will highlight too when your right over it

to drag many tracks, left click on the top one while holding down the shift key. Then use your arrow down to select all the ones you want.

Drag & drop I understand, not sure how to actually get the tracks on to the iPod, which is currently plugged in to the PC.

you drag the track from your music list to the ipod icon in itunes, and it is automatically sync'd as soon as you drop it. If you want to delete a track from the ipod you just click on the icon in itunes and select the track, right click and delete

I think I have the same issue. I have four different ipods running off the same itunes folder (my shuffle, Mrs ChasMill's shuffle, daughter's nanio and an old ipod for use in the car). The old ipod, which is a 40gb version has all the stuff from itunes loaded onto it, however since I installed the latest itunes version, it has disappeared from the folder list. When I try and update it from itunes, it only partially updates and I get an error message telling me that itunes cannot update the folder as it does not exist.

Very strange ....

I have looked at the troubleshoot section on itunes which is not much help.

Any ideas?

Have you changed from windows XP to vista since the last time you sync'd the ipod.
Vista stores libary files and playlists in different places than XP and the new Itunes updates reflects those changes and stores them according to vista

only had this fault once on mine and that was do to itunes not shutting down properly, causing library to be currupt
