Update

I got a test message at 04.17 (yes, that's a.m.) saying, "Hi Ronnie, got your number from xxxx. Have your goodies as promised."

I didn't recognise the number but can only assume that it was from Alan Dalziel. Seems I was a bit premature in my criticism and that Alan was intent on keeping his promise all along.

Unfortunately, I'm not going up to Glen Clova via Dundee so it would appear that the auction and in turn the Sick Kids of Edinburgh will miss out on AD's donation.

Started reading this thread and had to check the year of the post....thought I'd read similar before.....

Bet he doesn't get a third chance at wasting yer time....;)

too little too late perhaps......:(

(consumer perception is a wonderful thing - so why would I want to go there now.... :nenau )

I've spoken to AD this morning and he assures me that he only received one email from me and notice of only one of my calls.

He's donated 4 x XL GS T Shirts for the raffle and 2 x sets of Huggers and crash bobbins for auction. Unfortunately, these won't be on site at the venue but AD will send them out to the winners. I accept that folk will have to bid blind on these but it was impossible for me to pick the goods up this morning.

These donations are from Alan personally and not from John Clark. :thumb2

Alan Dalziel honoured his word and he even delivered the goodies that he's personally donated to the Clans Charity. I'll have a wee auction later in the GOTC section but I'm posting this to give Alan deserved credit for his generocity.

You can ask no more of a man than that he honours his word and Mr Dalziel seems to have done just that. Good man. :clap:clap

John Clark for cars not....

I`ve previously posted re John Clarks, Dundee service when I bought a K1200 GT, the purchase / service I received was first class and contiues to be so.:thumb
However.........as we were due to get a new car and we had decided on a 5 series diesel so off I went to Dundee........... different treatment which was in contrast to the usual bike / car dealer attitude. They couldn`t have been less interested in selling me a car, I can only assume they ( the cars ) can sell themselves...........
I then travelled 25 miles to Grassicks BMW Perth and after being dealt with in a professional manner as you would expect we bought a silver 5 series ( comes next month ).:D
It just goes to show that when we go in to the dealers looking at a BMW bike and get poor treatment from the car salespersons..........its not just bikers who get treated poorly.:mmmm

Shinyface :)
