And wanted to find out what you guys paid for the pleasure of your 600 mile oil change?
Cheers,
Bob :thumb

£97 - Chester Motorrad - Including FD Oil Change (Edited, after checking the bill)

Looks like I had the single finger up the arse treatment
Well and truly screwed.

Bob

True, I shouldn't be surprised.
Once bitten, twice not shy. :blast

I got the labour free on mine, only paid for oils and consumables. Had a litre of top oil in that price . They also did some coding for free and fitted the Engine bars and Gear Assist Pro for free on that service, so £97 including VAT was ok imho. How much did you get stung for Bob?

i too negotiate the service plan when buying a bike on the first service i get 75% disc on the second and third 50 % the going rate I'm told is around £150…..

hope you didn't get stung too much ,,if you did ,put it down to experience and dont buy there again ..or if you do get a deal sorted on purchase

They charged £170 - £50 for dealers discretion payment.
£120 - Which basically means the £50 was put on and taken off to look sweet IMHO, but then again, what would a pleb like me know about the inner workings of a BMW dealership? :nenau

Cheers,
Bob

My dealer's 3 hours away so I just did it myself, so the cost of oil and an overpriced BMW filter. I'll probably let them check the valves at 18K so in another 4,000 miles I'm sure I'll get bent over.

£120 is less than the going rate, it's just that some dealers will chuck the first service in for free, and others will charge just for the parts. I wouldn't lose sleep over being charged £120.:thumb

Funny how folks spunk 10k- 15k on a bike, forget about depreciation and total cost of ownership and whinge about servicing costs.

Think TCO chaps. Shuddup and enjoy yer steed :-)
