Afraid I don't have a bike as good as everyone else seems to have...but it IS a BMW. Ten years ago I bought a used r100gspd. It's been to south mexico, north alaska and everywhere in betwixt, so I'm happy with it. No reason to tell you this, I'm just happy with my bike.

Sounds like it's getting used a darn sight more than some on here...:thumb

Welcome btw.....;)

Well travelled!

That sounds like a great bike to have over there ! If the bike does what you want then why change? I'd like to think I would still have mine in ten years! Anyway who ever said that newer was better? The more miles you ride on it the more it becomes part of you as well as biulding up its own character as well!

The 100GS is a great bike! I had an R75/5 for years and I still regret the moment of madness when I sold it! The 100GS makes a lot more sense in a lot of situations too! Nice and easy to put right if you need to.
BTW, nice to have you on board, how about posting some pics from your travels? :beerjug:

"Just say'in hello"

Hello! I had a R80GS for nearly ten years, loved that bike very very much but it had to be sold when I moved to England. I am a gadget man myself and have now bought a new (second hand) bike but it's not about what you ride, it's tha fact that your riding and loving it!
