lamda Sensor

I have an 1150 and have ditched my sensor, can you do the same on the 1200? Mates bike is logging a sensor fault on No2 cylinder, tried cleaning the connections but no deal.

Take the bike to your local BW dealer. He will plug it into his diagnostics computer. five minutes later you will know what the problem is for definate.

A replacement sensor from BMW will cost upwards of a tonne, but an after market one can probably be got for around £20.00.

I believe that there are Headers out there that have dropped the sensors, but don't know what happens about the warning lights.

Thanks for the reply, I have a GS911 hence could identify the fault code so don't need the dealer. Anyway just disconnected the sensors and seems to have sorted the problem. Not my bike but he had a choice £130 for new sensor of just ditch em, it's what I would have done but just wondered ig anyone else on the 1200 section had already done so.

Like I say no problems on my 1150 so fingers crossed should not be problem on the 12, not bothered about the fault codes
