So just saying my 1300 was recalled over new year for electric problems. Told not to park bike “in or near a building “!!
After it’s returned a couple of hundred miles later goes totally dead while safely in its hutch. Collected from home and now told its entire wiring loom has to be replaced, which isn’t exactly a quick fix.It’s done about 7k.
Does anyone know if I can claim a refund on my PCP payment's for the time the bike is off the road ?

I am almost certain you cannot, however, I would be speaking to the dealer about a replacement machine until it was rectified. Failing that, BMW Motorrad mothership.

No. Reject as in give it back and cancel your contract (if its on PCP).

Its's nicknamed the 'Lemon Law'
 
Lemon law, is a USA law which in summary allows you to reject a an item if it fails 3 times

We have the CRA consumer rights act

you could try a formal rejection, not sure how that will go , but given it's on finance, the finance company is jointly liable if i recall ( although that may only be for CC payments

It's too late to reject the bike under The Consumer Credit Act. It has to be done within 30 days of purchase. The OP can ask for a replacement or repair. Under s.23 (Consumer Rights Act 2015) repair or replacement needs to be done free of charge, in a reasonable time, and in any case without causing the OP significant inconvenience. The delays thus far mean the second and third requirements have arguably been breached.

Citing the "significant inconvenience" requirement and outlining that the way to mitigate it would be for the dealer (or indeed the warranty provider) to cover the cost of a motorcycle in the interim. Just a thought.
