Londis Old Bawn Tallaght 10am :thumb
see previous post from Aiden1150 about start point which includes co-ordinates / waypoint :aidan

Hmmm, warm front immediately followed by cold front. Fairly brisk airflow from the west. Depends on how bad it gets on the day and the timing of the fronts, the warm front might be weak and if we got back before the cold front then it might work out.
Warm front generally = fine misty drizzly rain.
Cold front = heavier & more persistent.

From met eireann

Saturday will be a cloudy and mild day with scattered outbreaks of rain, along with a fresh southwest wind and hill mist. The rain will turn persistent in the evening, before a clearance to colder weather and blustery showers follow for Sunday night.

Positive thoughts!

Welcome along Bleeder :thumb2 As R2D2 says it's in Old Bawn. But it's a Centra now, not Londis :blast It's the far end of Old Bawn Road from Tallaght village. Meet about 10.00, the shop does coffee & brekkie rolls, leaving by 10.30 so don't be late ;)

Dave, the PhotoRally point is the courthouse - ya know the building in the middle of the road as you come in from the Naas / Kilcullen side :thumb2

It's only a bit of water ! As Tengiz says 'think positive'

Sat

What time would ye expect to be at the Carnew photo check point?

It's in The Glen. With the bridge at your back head south, up Bridge St, & take the slip road just at the second left. Short run to a big triangular square & Tonys is up on your right.

OK, let me state up front that: a) I'm not positive i'll show up, and b) I'm an American, which means I'm going to ask some really naive questions as i have no shame.

So I'm guessing a Fish Dash means it's a meeting place for lunch Yes?

I'm struggling with the directions: If I'm coming from N25 from Cork, is there a specific exit i need to take. Or maybe a better question - what is the Glens - is this a certain part of the city?

And I can't wait to check out the triangular square - never seen one of those before :augie

Appreciate any better directions - remember, this is from someone who had to consult the map just to figure out where in Ireland Waterford is.

btw - back to the no shame part - if the weather sucks, I'm staying home and spending time with the kids. I only get so many days out - I might as well save them for the good weather days. Plus I don't own any rain gear that's worth a damn ...

Thanks in advance,

tim

Tim, fish and chips is the ethnic food of my childhood and after a decline in popularity is now coming back into fashion.

IF you go to Google Maps , you'll find that Jockser's directions make sense.

Just following the N25 onto the quays in Waterford.

This is Ireland, good weather days here are very few and far between, if you wait for one, you'll never get out on the bike. Get some wet weather gear, you'll need it.
I hope to have the my blue and white 1150 out on the day, if I can get rid of this flu - 14 days and counting.

Did ya notice none of the Paddys questioned it ;)
Tim, a Fish Dash is just an excuse to get out for a decent spin, meet fellow Tossers & talk b0ll0cks and have a healthy lunch :D
You're more than welcome to join us. And, as Nud1e says, I wouldn't wait for a 'perfect' riding day. Just get out there & make the most of it :thumb2

Ghost, Frank & Si - :pullface
We'll be thinking of youse :augie
