hi all new to site looks great, the story is i am the owner of a 2003 ducati multistrada and triumph tiger 2004,not rich just a lot of dept :argue was out on sunday on multistrada thinking to myself this is a cracking bike for scratching round, use the tiger more for touring and with kids on back one at a time mind you, anyway called to friends later in day who has a 1200gs said i could lend it for a test ride.sat on thought lot like the tiger 1 hour into ride i was riding it as fast as my multi but i had to remember it is not my bike :shotim cracking funfelt really fixed to the road,my two bikes have been very exspensive to maintain :argue so now i have my two bikes on uk ebay looking forward to a gs definately a good all rounder, wheres the best place to find a used one, anyone fancy a swop!!!by the way im not going to be dressing up like ewan mcgregor.cheers tony

ignore him mate, the GS1200 is an excellent bike - as is the forum here. Your best bet is to keep an eye open in the buy & sell section here and at your local bmw dealer...

Good luck with the search...!

give us a rest. another multistrada post ..... just do a seach and get yours stuff and sod off ..... as for the tiger ..... a shame to be english. :barf

Joyseeker you ought to apologies for this post, but I doubt that you will :(

Exchanged a KRS plus 650 for the GS (with lots of kit). Rode it back from Poland and another 21k or so here.

No regrets, no problems (despite what the sayers of doom will tell you on other threads).

If you're looking for just one bike, a good choice.

For the first time in ages (small kids ...) went out for a blast with the wife on Sunday and, even with pillion, it's surprising how the GS will outrun sportsbikes (helped by full replica leathers and helmet) in the bends.

Go for it.

Cheers

Andy

Just ignore the idiot and his uncalled for post. Good luck with the sale of both your bikes. If you are having half the fun I am having on my 1200, you are in for a treat.

Dave,

Once again your monthly cyclic unacceptable behaviour rears it’s ugly head.

New members should be made to feel welcome here and not be subjected to your puerile rubbish, quite why you felt the need to post such a reply is beyond me.

Ynotbiker, please accept our apologies for ‘Joyseekers’ rant

do accept my appologies tony ;) looking back at your thread today i'm shocked that my post was not deleted immediately to protect your sensitivities and my declining reputation.

seems like my posts are left untouched to serve a purpose.

tony, IMV if you waited on the purchase of an 1200 till next spring you would be in a fine position in terms of negotiation and availibility. y c the new adventure is rumored to come out in march. there are lots on the list already and their GSs have to go somewhere. i see also alot of 1150s around in the dealers 2nd hand also..... these are great 2nd hand bikes (the best) and with a little more pressure some great deals to come for sure.

How can the lad do a search when he isn't even a site sponsor yet ? :nenau
You don't need to be a Sponsor to search, registered users can search too.

Good luck mate... I never looked back after swapping my GSXR750 for my ultra cool 1150GS....

Great to welcome another convert....

lets do a deal nadeem..... i'll restrain my humor and you go and get some :teacher :eek

Your idea of humour is rather a long way away from most peoples, it's time you learnt that being offensive isn't the same as being humourous. Telliong new members to sod off definitely isn't and perhaps you should take your comments and quips elsewhere?

don't be herding now
