Memory usage

How can i find out the amount of memory that is currently being taken up with maps loaded ?.

what unit?

can't see any way of finding that info directly from a 60csx without sticking the memory card in a reader attached to a computer

edit: er hang on, you can find out by highlighting the loaded maps in mapsource and looking at the sidebar which keeps a total (any unit).

In a csx ,if you select mass storage mode,connect to pc and click the drives properties in my computer it will show the free space.

if it's a 60CSx

press Menu twice to get to the main options
highlight 'tracks' - enter
select 'set up' - enter
select 'data card set up' - enter
menu - select 'card info' - enter

you should know see a screen that lists various things and the space they take up

Quest memory

Sorry about that,the unit i am referring to is a Quest. I dont know how much memory is being used.

On a Quest ,as far as I know the only way to tell was answered in the second post of this thread.
There would be no point is knowing how much memory was free from the unit its self as more map data can't be added without deleting what is already installed.
