Nice bike Robfin, I bought it myself 2 weeks ago until the seller informed me a day later he had received a better offer, despite agreeing a deal and me spending £160 on transport, HPI etc.

I hope the bike goes well for you and brings you lots of pleasure, and I hope the exact opposite for the seller :nono

That's a bastard isn't it? I hate people who behave like that. A lot of the southern lads on this site do and think it's acceptable.

It was all sorted and I text him for his address and bank details, then got the news

A deal is a deal in my world but hey ho, got myself another 2 stroke and first dibs on a Rothmans NS500R so its not all bad

Well I am a poofty southern shandy drinking bastard and I would NEVER do that. As already said, a deal is a deal, my word is my bond etc.....

I am a 'Returning Member'. Still have my R1200 GSA, but that does not make me a bad person!
Here is my new acquisition 1985 & totally restored. Very nice....I think!
Welcome back, Rob! 😉

You've got a lovely machine there.

All the best.

Oh! I had no idea about the issues......just agreed a price, sent a deposit & collected the bike.
Absolutely thrilled with.
Had a run over to Motorworks (took my passport just incase it was needed at boarder)! A good experience, got the parts needed & had a good chat with the guys.
Bike ran great, what fun!

Here's a picture of mine . Finally worked out how to add photos. It's a 85 UK bike. And photo is otterburn tank ranges in Northumberland

Nice clean winter roads.....

A 20 minute ride this morning! - Bike was factory/showroom clean after about 3 days of hard work just before this, could have eaten yer dinner off the underneath of it!....

It looks just utterly lovely, but wouldn't the petrol and engine oil have run out during dinner? :D

Just bought a nice Monolever G/S, with 1000ccm, WP-USD/Öhlins-Suspension, Tankdesign from one of the two very first G/S (the Ecuador-Testbikes from Jan. 1980) :D:

Here's a pic from a few weeks back. A little surfing / holiday town on the west coast on New Zealand North Island called Raglan.

The g/s at the front of the line is new to me, the g/s in the middle belongs to an occasional poster round here, and the GS-PD at the back belongs someone who spends more time riding and cleaning than figuring out how to use the interweb thingie ... ;)
