Mudsling update

Hi Sorry to jump in on your posts there, I have a 2011 twin cam here, can you buy or make a rear splash guard for my twin cam ?

There's one in the for sale section for a TC

Hi Kyrano, I have a very nice Ilmberger carbon hugger taken off my 2006 GS when I went all water-cooled in the summer, sitting in the garage cos I never got round to advertising it.
Let me know if you're interested and I'll send my email address or something.
Oh, and a set of Ohlins suspenders that have just sat on a bench looking yellow...

Hi GSThree, Can you PM me some pics & prices as I could be interested here, my bike is a 2011 twin cam GSA, im not too sure if the parts would fit tho...

Right, while I work out what PM is, and how to do it, might be worthwhile for you to do a bit of due diligence on whether this fine example of the carbonmeisters art will fit your bike. Ilmberger, bought in 2006 for an 06 GS, the only only type they did at the time. A quick look at the sandbar composites site suggests that ESA bikes have a different hugger.
New ones seem to be about 230 quid or so, won't be greedy if you want this one...

I hope that's only applicable to new orders, and not for those of us that have back ordered one.:blast

Yep - latest e mail says April but web site still says March - hardly end of the world though :augie

The R&D is finished, the mould is complete, they have the injection moulding equipment, why the delay?

They are struggling to match Chinese quality! Or there is not enough rain to carry out final product testing! Or they are supplying the Chinese market first!

I overlooked the obvious, they are developed by Mudsling and probably the tooling is shipped to China for manufacture. The massive container ship http://www.boreme.com/posting.php?id=17257&page=4 is probably unloading in California now, train across the USA, load back onto another container ship for the Atlantic run, 21 days to clear customs, few days to delivery to Nippy Normans, few days to unpack and post out.
25000 BMWs sold, many will be fitted with a mudslinger, probably costs a few pounds to make, the potential profits are huge.

I've had an email directly from Katie at MachineArt Moto today saying that the first Mudslings will be delivered in April.:blast I've asked her what the hold up is, so will let you know if she tells me.:thumb

where i work has all the plastic injection moulding equipment second to none, i could get a mold done on monday of the mudsling and be knockin em out 2 for a tenner on friday and still make money:D

"We had some unexpected production delays on our manufacture's end. We stand by our products and are very proud of them. We take every step to insure they are designed and manufactured to the highest degree, most of the time this involves changes to drawings or molds late in the game. please continue to be patient, you will not be disappointed."
