Mudsling update

It's included on the GSA, is it not?

Yes and browsing my local dealers yesterday the non Adventure GS 2014 model gets the same treatment.

It looks like it.:thumb I wonder if it will be available separately, for the regular GS.

I doubt it you'll have to upgrade to the later model :D
Seriously, I have no idea I don't know what changes have been made, go along to your local dealer and take a look and compare to your own bike.

About time they refitted a proper inner mudguard

Well done BMW

So this must be 2014 BMW WC 12GS.3....Nutty

Perhaps BMW heard of the delay for the Mudsling & thought they'd trump them, by bringing there own in, in just 3 weeks

See my earlier post, it's possible Maier (who make the Mudsling that Nippy imports) didn't have access to the 2014 model so couldn't tool up for production hence the delay message on Nippy's site, if/when they do offer their own mudsling will it be over £100 better than the OEM fitment :nenau

True

I thought MachineArt made the Mudsling & Maier made a different alternative ?

Pretty much every hexhead in my local Motorrad had a Maier Mudsling fitted. They probably added them as complimentary accessories.

The factory like to have the plastic on rubber bung mounts so don't expect an equivalent from them in a hurry.

What's changed?

Had a look at some 14 plate GS's & GSA's at the 4 model launch Sat, they had the same mudguard as my 2013 model.

We had a good look around on Saturday and could not spot ant differences. Come on NN when are you posting out the Mudslings????

So as this thread has turned in to all thing mud protection for the Wassboxer I thought I would post a pic of my Puig as I have now taken the BMW mudguard thing off and it looks so much better. Shame Puig didn't make it a bit longer but I have plan. Also a couple of pics of the Machine Art front mudguard and how well it protects with a Touratat sump guard fitted.

What are the black parts on your engine bars, Mermoto?

So, any guesses on when this thing is going to arrive?

When I placed my order (on the day it was released) I was told March delivery.

Who's up for a sweepstake?

What are the black parts on your engine bars, Mermoto?

He's protected his engine bars with flexible plastic tubing; the sort of stuff you run cables for a PC down to keep them tidy. Probably to avoid scrapes on the garage wall or gentle tumbles off the stand in Tesco's car park. They may well survive the journey through the hedge better than he does but I'm not so sure how well they'll fare when doing the 90 mph tarmac waltz.

PS Somebody has pinched the digits off his number plate.

Just had an email from MachineArt. Mudslings will be at Nippy's on the 14th April.:clap:beerjug:
