I have three work based Gmail accounts that I need open at the same time, so I don't have to switch between them.
What I do at the moment is have one open in chrome, one in opera and one in IE.

Is there another solution?

The addresses function for different business activities and I can't amalgamate them.

Thanks in advance :beerjug:

You could auto-forward two of them to the prime one.

Remember to set 'reply from original account received at' (or however they describe it) if that's important to you :thumb

Can't Gmail fetch other accounts via POP / IMAP? If so, you could just set one account to fetch all the others.

This is the answer. I've five accounts working like this.

Main one, Work, family/friends, crap one to give to shite on the web and on-line shopping one. Then if one gets fecked up I don't have to change them all. If I want to ignore one I stop forwarding it for a while, holiday time and the work one being an example.

If you forward them all to one then theres no struggle as you say you have.

Will auto forward as suggested and no more struggle. Ta.

I haven't tried this myself but you can still get a google apps free a/c for one user:

http://www.techwalls.com/register-free-google-apps-standard-account-single-user/

This allows you to setup a custom domain with a gmail account so your email is [email protected]. You can use other email addresses ending in @smith.co.uk but you can only have one user. If you require more than one user you have to pay. This may suit you for your work email if you are using emails like support@, sales@, marketing@ for your business?

I have a legacy free googe apps a/c for my domains. I use a mac and have apple mail setup with 3 email addresses, two gmail and one .mac address. All sync using imap and all are on iPhone & iPad also. I'm sure you can do the same with outlook but I don't use a pc. I don't use gmail in a web browser.

Excellent :beerjug: Just what I needed, I had no idea such a facility existed!

I had been doing that but found the switching to be a bit cumbersome for my needs.

buy a domain, looks more professional when sending etc and then you can have as many as you want? all ending [email protected]....?

I already have two domains, one for each website and there are commercial and practical reasons to keep them separate, despite the existence of a fairly significant overlap :thumby:

This place is so much better than google :bow

As long as you don't mention religion or Thatcher :D
