Thanks to all the great help I received at this years Airhead Weekend (and it must be said, the previous years as well), I now have ALL my airheads running nicely. Very big thank you to everyone who has helped and it really is too numerous to mention but you all know who you are.:)

R100RS. Fitted a new rear Metzeler on this and it passed its MOT on the Friday before the Weekend. Paul Wong helped me fix the forkseals and it is now fixed all round.:)

Pink Lady R80/7. I even managed to ride this up and down the drive yesterday before they plastered up my broken wrist:( Today I managed to climb a ladder one-handed and retrieved the RT fairing and made a stab at fitting that:

In case anyone is wondering, I've not bought another airhead but that is Peter Tibb's lovely R80/7 resting in my shed to make room in his new R100R that he collects tomorow.:)

And finally, "Trigger", the infamous long running saga of every Weekend for the last four years.:) I know that Proff has his loyal "sneeks" that report back every single word on this forum that mentions him or his ex-bikes so I have to be careful exactly what I say about the bike or else it will be twisted and used against me:(. Thanks to the help of several people, this bike is at last running and only needss minor final adjustments to be complete.

Genuine thanks to everyone who has helped me to get all of these airheads running.:)

Now I am looking for my next project.:D

Alternatively, you might try to rise above playing all this childish crap Sid. Thank's for a good airhead weekend :thumb

Agree 100% Andy.

I think you misunderstood my post?

It was just disappointing when I was chatting to Proff at market last Tuesday and he told me that firstly, he never even logs on to this site anymore and secondly he told me about all the second-hand crap he had been told about who said what and when. I have no problem whatsoever with Proff in any way. What saddens me is the two-faced shit stirring trolls who try to create an issue where none exists. Just to repeat, Proff and Babs were told that they were very welcome to attend this years Airhead Weekend. My only comment about "Trigger" concerned what I was told about problems with the engine mounts. Proff was told by "someone on here" that I had accused him of selling me a bike with a twisted frame. The only thing twisted was the attitude of the person reporting back to Proff who was deliberately trying to stir up shit.:( Again, you know who you are...

If I have anything to say to Proff, I am perfectly capable of saying it direct to his face and neither of us need trolls to stir things up on our behalf. We don't always agree on everything but we are on normal speaking terms.:)

Well done Sid, she's looking lovely. Will look even better whae she's finished.

Now! Whats all this crap about you breaking your wrist. Isn't it time you learned how to keep these two wheeled things up right?????

:D

Yes, left wrist in plaster after breaking it last weekend.:(

Going to make any further progress on the bikes difficult for next week or two.

I need to build a lightweight GS airhead off-roader to race instead of my heavy 1100.

Looking for suitable donor bike for next project. Anything considered.

There's a nice little r65gs HERE that looks like a good candidate as it's the full power version not the 29bhp one like my old one that Proff now has.

Sid, Is it my eyesight, or yours?

Looking at the Pink Lady's front mudguard. I'm sure it's on the wrong way round. Surly the longer end goes behind the forks?????

R65g/s with 50 horse might be good. But a 100 with 60 horse and virtually the same weight has got to be better :nenau

Alternetively, what are you planning to do with Trigger?
Some money spent on the engine and gearbox to make sure they are tip top, a swing arm extension and a pair of decent forks added to the front and you have a light weight offroader, just as you want it. No need to buy another bike :thumb2

You're right about front mudguard. I never realised that before. Will swap it around soon.:)
Done a bit more work this week. Fitted the rear pannier frames and small krauser panniers.
Fitted the RT fairing on properly now. Just bought new small bulbs for the volt meter and clock. Just have to fit all the inner panels and then mount the screen. Bought some heat shrink to tidy up some of the electrics. Its coming along very nicely.:)

Re Trigger. Peter has been helping me with this and I just need to get a few more bits from Sherlocks. I've spent too much time and money on this to make this one into an off-roader. I want this one to be a perfect RT to match Pinklady's so that we have "His & Hers" RTs.

I'm still looking for my next project for next winter. Anything airhead considered but must be cheap.:)

My 1100 is stripped right down at the moment after the battering it got the other weekend. I've also got to do a little bit of work on both the KTM and the CRF so I'm not short of things to do at the moment. Also got that horrid Peugeot Speedshite to try to sort out.:(

I've sussed out how to get the light switch apart so we might be able to fix it.
It's just time I don't have a the moment. I'm afraid it's likely to be a few weeks before we can set Trigger's rocker arms up. First I've got to get daughter dispatched off to France and then whip the roof off of a barn.
Don't worry its not yours....
Pete

Cheers Peter

Don't worry, I have a spare R80/7 in my workshop I can always use for spares...

Give me a call if I can help with barn roof.:)

Isn't a broken wrist enough for this month? Or are wanting the matching neck?
Perhaps you could be there to break my fall....
