Name that virus

Looking for a bit of help one of my mates pc's has a virus.When you connect to the internet it starts sending spam emails Any ideas what it is and what software to use to get rid of it ?

If he's not got AVG Anti-virus loaded then he needs it.

(Use the free download version).

Looks like the Norton A/V doing its usual thing..Telling you that you have a virus then doing nothing about it.

I've already told him to ditch norton and get avg
