After considering the pros and cons of different seats and different options I decided to go the foam route, so I believe he cut out a lot of the original padding, reshaped, put in two different density foams, and then recovered the seat. He was very reasonable and will work to the specification and expectations you provide him with. He knows what he is doing and again you consider postage over the water (return), it is a serious option for those looking for some tailored comfort for their arse. I used to use an Airhawk for years on a lowered 1150GSA seat set up. Since using this set up I do not need the Airhawk anymore. I did 400 miles + last Friday (all of Ulster photorally points) on boreens and single track roads with no issues. So I guess that says it all about the quality of his work.
