E up, I've been lurking round this site for a week or so now and you all seem like deacent enough fellow so i've decided to join in the fun :thumb2
So here's the thing, i currently ride a 1200 bandit but fancy somthing a little more bmw-ish, just watched 'long way round' and 'race to dakar' too many time i suppose, got a budget of about £3000 and whatever i can get for the bandit when i sell it, so what would be a good buy ? F650's seem affordable but small, 1100's affordable but old and with large mileage's, 1150's look nice but just out of reach price wise, 1200's look fab but very costly.
what should i do boys ?

( btw, allready booked meself on the bmw off road skills course for the 16-17th june, Should be a laugh !)

welcome,
a 650 would be rather small/underpowered after your bandit.
i have the 1100GS first class bike.
just go for the newest/lowest mileage you can get and enjoy:thumb

there are still a few late low miles 1100 around, but 3k+what you get for the bandit, should get you a decent 1150 :nenau

go on condition and not on miles though

Thanks for the advice boys, currently got my eye on a 1100 at the local bmw dealers (wollaston, northampton) a 1998 r reg with 60,000 miles on it, ohlins shocks front and rear, at £3995 i thought it a little on the expensive side, what do you's lot think ? any advice would be of help, Ta
