I can indeed.
My 1200GSA needed a couple of recalls. One was for the re-routing of the brake lines.
My K1300S needed a recall to fix the indicator switch that failed 5 minutes after I collected it from the dealer.
I’d sold my r9T Urban when I got a recall letter from BMW,so must confess to not taking much notice and lobbed it in the bin.

Thanks for that Arsey. Though I do hope that you made sure you enlightened the buyer of r9T about the recall you responsibly binned. Unless of course you sold back to a dealer?

He is a muppet though, as he’s proved several times already. Even more so this time, as he thinks we both hate BMW. ;)

Your flyboy boyfriend and trolling partner certainly seems to. But never mind, since you don’t own one your opinion means very little except to your inner circle pals. Do you get points every time you post ? Do they give you some sort of award for being the biggest troll ? Just wondered as it seems you and your boyfriend seem to be neck and neck in that race.

I can see why you identify more as a troll than a dwarf. Good on you.

Thanks for that Nutty. But I am sure that I am not the only one who will be in this instance looking to you for your extensive knowledge regarding the GS range given you've owned more GS's than most on here and the numbers of recalls you have personally experienced:thumb:D;)

If you’re relying on me, you’re truly fucked. :D :beerjug:

Joking aside, stop being lazy, and scroll back a few pages in the LC section, and all will be revealed. There’s nothing on the telly.

Rely on you, god forbid!!

You're right there is nothing on the telly. So a search for LC recall was undertaken. This came up with 182 posts and yes it highlighted some recalls, one for the fork collar and a one for the master slave cylinder. With regards to the spoke wheel problems there has not been an official recall, nor has one been issued for the calliper issue affecting the 1250. I am open to being corrected by anybody of course.

So my question remains what other recalls have you had through your vast and numerous GS ownership? I am sure we could all welcome your valuable wisdom!

Either put up or shut up buddy:rolleyes::):)

Poking a stick into the cage with much trepidation : there are multiple levels of words which a manufacturer like BMW will use to deal with product failures in the field.

"Recall" is only one such word.

Withdrawing said stick now

Next time I’m bored, I’ll have a scroll back through this section, and update the thread for you. :thumb

Could you lot get a room?
I thought this thread was about a leaking brake calliper on a showroom floor.
My concern is that I don't believe that receptacle used to 'collect the extra fluid in the new self bleeding system' in the photograph is not an OEM BMW part.

Will this effect the warranty?

Not to defend the great products and build quality that made in usa implies...;)
But I had 2 1250 GS , first ADV and now regular and none of them leaked...the bikes need to be ridden and seals imbedded/broken in and then nothing will leak even sitting in a garage during winter months.
I have to say one thing though these Hayes calipers feel much better as in less spong and less free travel than the previous Brembo calipers on the 1200GS...:thumb2

It is with regret , slight oh fuc , that my bike is now leaking , well spraying over the front rim after a hard ride out. I am still a convert to the Hayes as they are better , back to the dealer on a collect and return basis ( breakdown) so let the warrentee take effect.
I will however insist on a rebuild on both calipers or replacement as a set . No brembo for me as I feel this would be a backward step , unless they have improved on the last system.

I’ve got a 1250GS and after 7,500 miles the callipers are still fine, my mate who got his 1250GSA at the same time did leek and BMW took so long to replace them that he threatened to throw the bike back at them and so they fitted Brembo’s instead
