New to me F800GS

First run out following an initial check over including an oil & filter change , new coolant , air filter , spark plugs and valve check . Also had to fix the chain tensioners as they were seized and the chain needed tensioning . Picked up a pair of used panniers . Bike runs well and will get a proper refresh when I get back from holiday ready for winter riding service

wow, a chain on a BMW ... looks good though. I recently bought a used 1250GS to try that out. One thing I've noticed is they do sit up high, not for short folks ... How does this bike set for height?

Seat height on the F800GS is 815mm (32.1 inches)

After a comprehensive re-commission the F800GS is sorted and ready for winter use . I had to do LOTS (and LOTS) of jobs on it to get it right

Had a few hours out on it this afternoon and it runs and handles great

Do R1200 GSA (non LC) aluminium boxes fit on the F800 GSA racks that you have fitted ?

Unfortunately not, they are a different shape on the sides nearest the wheel.

Very capable bikes, I liked mine. Givi Airflow screen was an excellent updrade I did, also a smaller front sprocket and just before I sold it I put in heavier fork oil.
