Hey BMW have got really smart.
300miles on the bike, but I didn't seem to be getting the fuel consumption everbody else was, in fact the last tank only lasted 100 miles (whilst running in!).
Just got home and noticed it turns out that BMW let fuel pour drain out of the side near what I presume is the fuel guage - right onto the hot engine (where I presume it evaporates - or not) - and saves you masses of extra weight in fuel.
Waiting now for a decsision (being called back in 15mins half an hour ago) as to fix it or ship it back to Crewe.
Pissed off. Yup.
Thankfully I still have a perfectly functional never let me down Japanese bike.
I don't believe it.
