Hi have purchased the Shrader new style TPM and angled valves, due to the ome rear failing on my 2017 GSA.
I've read that if I change one at a time the bike electronics pick the new one up after a short while riding. Has anyone found this to be the case?
Local dealer wants 2 hours Labour to install them. Which at £96 an hour, a little pricey, I'd rather do them myself. :thumby:

Are they not covered under warranty?

replaced one on a k1600 for a friend, it showed blank for about 5 miles then registered fine :beerjug:

I fitted the new type to a 2015. Just riding did nothing, had to buy a wake up tool and then use a gs911 to get it to register. The new ones also didn’t come with a code to manually programme them. The ones for the 2022 bikes are different again

That's interesting to know, nothings ever easy!!

I have just had both front and rear disconnect from my 2018 bike so every time I start the bike I have to click through two warnings.

I find it odd they both died at the same time.
They did come back briefly on a ride.

If I have to replace them it would be good to get the angled valves - will they fit 2018 spoke wheels?

I will get the dealer to do it as I presume the wheels need rebalancing after?

Indeed BMW switched from Schrader to LDL Technologies as supplier of the TPMS and the two are incompatible.
