My new GS expected at the end of the month will not have a tracker fitted. Apparently this stopped for bikes made from September 2021.

Anybody else heard of this?

Yes, thats the case I am afraid.

I couldn't get my August '21 Rallye insured without one. Anything over £15k has to have one they said. Obviously insures/brokers may vary

I've bought a Monimoto, £126.61 on Amazon

ive looked at those, its quite a big thing to hide!
i honestly have nowhere to hide something that size on my bike.

doesn't look like it will fit under my seat either.

Fit where oem alarm go easy 1 beer job

In all fairness I was thinking of somewhere simpler lol
Taking all the rear end off the bike each time the battery goes dead is a pain.

I was thinking under the seat kinda thing

Tracker no longer a standard fitment on new bikes although you may be able to have one retro fitted by your dealership... I suspect a money saving issue by the mothership..

New 21 1250RT ordered 6 months ago arrived yesterday with a tracker fitted. So is it just bikes being built now that have no tracker

Re above..... Got my info about tracker from Marshall BMW. You may just have been lucky and got bike with tracker already fitted....

The easier it is for you to fit the easier it is for the scroat to find. ;)

I was under the impression the tracker for current GSs are fitted by the dealer during PDI. I picked up my June built GSA on Aug 1st and it has the Datatool Stealth 5 fitted. Appears to work ok and no noticeable battery drain.

I’m being told it’s for September builds on. If you look at bmw Motorrad uk it’s now not listed as a standard item and it’s not a cost option either.

I’ve opted for the monimoto, cheap and easy and it appears Bikesure recognise it
