Nokia 6680 problems

Not sure if i`m in the right section to ask about a problem I have with my mobile phone.

But if someone wants to move this thread then do so.

I have had this Nokia 6680 since the begining of August 2005 and it`s been a brilliant phone, though far to clever for me to understand as a smart phone. (No pun intended) It has been updated (if that is the word) to a Kingston 2GB memory card and TomTom added in Sept 2007.

The thing is, my screen has started to flash or pulsate, it goes from the original background of a sort sky-blue to clear white/greyish screen. It switches on and off when I want it too, unless of course there is now charge let on it. The sounds are still there when pressing the keys.
I`m worried that it`ll just fade and not return to normal soon and i`ll lose everything on it ... photos, movies, addresses and calendar.

BTW ... it`s working fine now whilst I type this lot in.

Is it time to get a new one or another mobile and if so which one?

Hi Bob,
Ah! I wish i`d got back to you sooner. But with me having to much interest in the whats for sale section on here i`ve neglected my other posts.
My old mobile has died.
Well, i`ve now got another mobile which is Ok but i`ve not mananged to get all my stuff, except contacts, onto new handset.
I have been told that the 2gb memory card being about 3 times the size of whats in my new mobile will infact fit into a SD slot on a laptop. Hoping that my TomTom maps can be saved that way.
